Here at Painted Valley Ranch we greatly enjoy raising Alpaca, Sheep and Angora rabbits for their luscious fiber and wool. They are all very fun and exciting animals to keep, we dearly love them all very much. In 2017 we will be opening an online store where we will be selling yarn made from our animals fiber and wool, products made from Alpaca fiber, goat milk soap and bulk herbs. Sometime soon after, we will be planing a physical store on our property of 23 acres. We will be selling the same products, plus other natural items. Along with the Alpaca, Sheep and Rabbits, we have 5 goats that we milk on occasion. Two baby boy goat's were born in April 2017. We will be keeping them as pets. Their names are Chip and Lumiere, we plan to teach them to pull a cart. My Son is busy a portion of the day caring for his chickens. We enjoy the fresh eggs from them. They are never used for meat, as they are all named and we are strict vegetarians. And of course let's not forget about our horses. My daughter has 1 AQHA horse, 1 Mini horse and 4 APHA horses. I have one Sorrel Overo Paint mare. My daughter is raising and training them to hopefully do a little bit of showing. She also plans to eventually ofter horseback riding lessons. Some of our other beloved animals are a Coattimundi named Luna, a Sulcata Tortoise (Third Largest Type) named Olive, 7 cats (6 are Rescue's), my daughter's African Grey Congo (named Sterling) who talks nonstop, a Quaker Parrot named Babydoll, and a ferrett. Eventually we would like to offer animal education day camps. Where we would teach the kids about the proper care and health of the animals. We have also done some animal rescue in the past. And will be doing much more in the future. Ten of our current animals are rescues. We are also working towards being self sufficient with solar panels and growing most of our own food.
